I see myself as a Multimedia designer, developing both websites
and graphic design work, who has also dabbled in other areas such as video editing
and 3D animation.
My name is Liam Webb, as you would probably have figured out by now.
I was born in 1983 in Perth, Western Australia.
I have recently graduated from Edith Cowan University, and am, looking to get
myself out into the workforce. I am by nature a designer, and it is in this
industry I can see myself working in for the future.
Its in my Blood!
For as long as I can remember I have loved to create and draw things. And since the age of 7, I have had a love and fascination with computers, as both a gaming platform, as well as a function work tool. Starting of with the Commadore 64, through 486s, to the modern PC. Adding to this having two uncles as engineers, an aunty as an architect and another aunty as a professional painter, there is certainly a lot of design and creation in my genes!

2001 to 2005 - University Studies @ Edith Cowan University
present - the career search begins.....
Studies Begin
Upon graduating from high school, I was left wondering what career I would pursue. Based upon my two loves, designing and computers, I merged the two together and enrolled myself in a Bachelor of Communications, double majoring in Advertising and Multimedia Technologies. This was an area that I had found my interest and career, and set about furthering my education.

Communications Course
It was from here that I commenced my Advertising and Multimedia course. This was a four year course, in which I learned the use of essential programs for my chosen area of study. These included HTML coding, Director, Flash, Photoshop, Premiere, Lightwave, Php, and CSS. My first efforts were quite poor, as I was still coming to grips with the programs. However after completing a few assignment projects for business' outside of university, I began to better my skills and design ideas.

From this experience, I was able to better develop my skills, in particular my XHTML
and CSS knowledge. This in turn helped me create more controlled and
visually stimulating pages, that also better demonstrated my work. This
part was and still is frustrating in the extreme, but I'm teaching myself
more and more each day, continuing to find newer and interesting methods
of creating designs. I look at this part of my education as an ongoing
exercise, as technology is continually upgrading and changing, and in
order to remain on par with current technology, I must continually
update my knowledge of these powerful programs.
